My attention got caught by this word as well, though I'm not a man.
If there's no sexual meaning, what's bad about male friendship? I think it's absoluteley normal.

your reactions regarding on this related matter truly confuses me..

the word maybe just a "made up" word, or not found in a dictionary. but it doesnt mean such relationship or scenario doesnt exist.

these kinds of words are given out just lately on our "more open minded" generation..since before...odd sexuality exposure is not accepted or rejected by the society. being different from others results to maltreatment by the society.
therefore, they hide who they truly are.

but now, they show up who they really are... i mean if your "gay, bisexual or lesbian"..dont hide it..be proud of it.. its more irritating and creepy if a person is saying he's not..even though everything about him speaks very loud that he is. Especially your same sex have a "trait" or "dna embedded gutt feeling" of recognizing/determining which is straight or a poser on their true sexuality..

If anyone here is active on the bodybuilding.com forums, they talk about bromance a lot. At least compared to the dudes we have here. It might involve liking the guy + admiring the other man's physique (pretty much the whole point of bodybuilding) without actually boinking the guy.

What's wrong with just saying that you're chums, pals, buddies, etc.? There's something slightly mocking about the 'bromance' word, methinks.

Is physique the only attraction in such relations? Do they consider other aspects?
I always feel a lil bit awkward hearing that people perceive themselves as physical bodies only.

Well I think so. I wrote that bromance would involve liking the guy and his body. And it is sort of a joke I think, or at least not taken too seriously. You might see comments like "Looking strong! (no geigh)" or something like that.

Many guys in Japan are having this kind of relationship.
Two guys having strong bond as friends.
I think it is just recently that this term is used to describe that kind of friendship.
A lot of people are having different opinion because of the literal meaning or the impression of the word.
