can't edit posts. Some time thing, and it says edited even if no one replies after.

Same here.
Hey, let them have time to sort it out - it's not easy switching.
Just messing with this wysiwyg editor - pretty cool.

Yes, it's definitely gonna take some getting used to.

I posted this in an announcement that nobody read.

Crikey, I've been running vB3 since an early beta last July, but I am still easily lost in all the controls. Was asking for help on member permissions at vbulletin.com a few days ago.

I have been studying the admin panel for two days now. Definitely a lot of settings in there. Very asy to get lost. I think I'm getting the hang of it. Still takes me a bit to remember where things are.
I have avatars and all that stuff enabled by default in the admin panel. Something happened when the accounts were moved that caused everyone's settings to go away.

Btw - admins - I'm sure you'd be able to update all user profiles using a database query - I know I've used similar on my own - ask at vBulletin.com forums or the support e-mail and someone should be able to advise you on the specific database queries to run (via the vB admin panel) to get all the settings to update for all members.
|
Someone read the announcement :p
Thanks for the info. We will look into that.

I noticed that phpBB posts cannot be edited, but new ones (made through vB) are editable.
I like PHP syntax highlighting. Other than that, working or playing with computers is an eternal learning process. Most of us should have gotten used to it by now.

For users to see avatars and sigs, you need to go to your user cp, click on user options, and enable viewing of avatars and sigs. Or the admins can make this default in admincp by clicking on VBulletin options, user picture options, and "avatars enabled".

As I stated above, I already did this in the admin panel. User settings are still screwed up. This is why I posted the announcement that hardly anyone read telling everyone to fix their settings. Along with avatars and sigs being turned off, most people are set as invisible. Everyone should go in their profile and change these settings.
