I hear it is the preferred method of transport for the Inuit on the way to their next life.

Seriously!?! You need to ask? It would be an incredibly bad idea, they are not tameable. They are wild animals that are at the top of the food chain, and they know it.
Wild animals cannot be trusted, even those trained from birth.

I would only feed them vegetables. They would eat what I eat, & from a very young age. That way, they'll be more tame. They wouldn't know to be carnivorous, being fed a herbivore's diet. I've done this before with other carnivorous animals, because they learn to be carnivorous or herbivore. But they don't have to be. Eating only vegetable will not kill them, actually they'll be more healthy.

I don't think that it would be able to bring itself to bite me. Pets know that they could die by biting the hand that feeds them. It would be like biting their mother or father, and not in a playful way. If they did that, their animal parent could kill them -they know this I think!
Same goes with their master, it would just be a bad idea. This I think is true survival instinct, because most animals are not that dumb.

Yeah, the book is much better. History Channel has a tendency to get too superfluous.
