I want a solid state hard drive as soon as I can get one and I am willing to pay three times the cost of a standard hard drive with the same capacity.
What's solid state mean? Well, think of it like this: when radios first came out they were full of vacuum tubes, not circuits. But then all that changed when the first solid-state radio came out. It didn't have vacuum tubes that burn out and need to be replaced. They became more dependable, longer-lasting.
The same happened with televisions, and now computer hard drives.
You can't 'scratch' a solid state hard drive by bumping or dropping your laptop. You don't lose data. (I've already replaced two hard drives since January because if that.)
They also bring up your data quicker.
I definitely want a solid state hard drive.
