How Do You Compose Email?

If youíre like most, including myself, you first enter the recipientsí (names and) addresses, then insert a subject (some folk apparently think itís cute to omit this important step but seeing ďNo SubjectĒ when scanning my inbox is mildly annoying) and finally the message itself. If thereís an attachment, that goes in after or occasionally just before the message.

Well, some months ago I stumbled upon an enlightening article which recommended reversing that order but Iím yet to adopt that procedure, even though it makes perfect sense.

Next they'll be telling you how to scratch your bottom. Surely it doesn't matter which order you do it in, as long as it is done. And if you are worrying about that order, you obviously have far too much time on your hands.

I guess worrying about this is like buying tap dancing shoes for your favourite giraffe. It is a little pointless.

I agree it's somewhat strange to think of such triffles, in fact I didn't get the point

It's funny but I learnt to do exactly what that article says by own experience, never having read the theory behind it. After sending some thousand emails that's how I do it now. And yes it helped me reduce the amount of mistakes I made (ie: forgetting attachments, subject not reflecting the content of the message body, forgetting to add some recipients).

It might sound odd but that method works very well, and I recommend it to anybody who needs to send more than 5 emails a day, give it a try and soon you'll notice the difference.

I got a malware detection notice when I clicked on the site mentioned above using Google's Chrome browser. The site itself is clean, but it has a link to a suspected malicious site, or at least in Google's eyes. Beware.

Message read:
The website at "www.everyjoe.com" contains elements from the site "www.advertisespace.net", which appears to host malware – software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent. Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.

Is it really a problem? I don't think so. Right, the subject is important factor for a good mail.
