it's just another media-generated issue
two guys pretended their iphone glass screen exploded but on pictures we see that it's not actually an explosion , it looks more like the iphone fall and the glass screen broke .
Moreover , the guys actually pretending that refused to send their iphone to Apple in order to be analysed
for me it seems like a lot of noise for almost nothing

That may be but Microsoft Windows doesn't explode whilst using it
In the UK some peoples iphone did overheat and melt and Apple offered to replace it but they had to sign a letter stating that they would not talk about this. The people forwarded the official letter onto the press where it was printed and now apple are left a little red faced.
Yes it does happen, one just has to do their homework and search around to see this if they wanted to.

If there is the Iphone's problem, I think the company will do something, but not yet!
So I guess, it is merely an accident?

There were many occasions when mobile phones exploded. That is due to fault in batteries. In India Nokia mobiles exploded.
It never safe to sleep with mobile under your pillow, keep it some distance or at some nearby table.
Not only that, one must use mobile in limit, it is not good to use in excess. Since they are not good for health.

Its a electronic thing and that may be explode. So I don't think that is a issue as we all know Apple quality, they try their best but some things are not in hands, they just happen.

Thankfully my Motorola Razr works perfectly and has never blown up.
Although I have to hand it to Apple, people used to complain about paying a 20%+ markup just for a logo or the letter i, at least now you get a logo, the letter i, and the dual use of a phone AND a bomb all in 1.

Well there is a news in August 2009-A French teenager was injured after his girlfriend's iPhone shattered and a piece of the device hit him in the face. According to the AFP, the teen claims his girlfriend's iPhone shattered, resulting in an eye injury for him. The phone began making a hissing noise and the screen suddenly broke, sending pieces flying in the air, the boy's mother told the AFP.
