I've actually done both of these-about a year and a half ago, I got about 600 paid to click emails a day, making around $20 for 2-3 hours clicking a day. However, it went downhill quickly, and it's not really worth it anymore.

However, im still taking some paid surveys and just got a check from http://www.mysurvey.com for $35.

No, it's not. It's basically a poor man's advertising thing using optin email lists.

I've never tried it, and doubt it's much good as a marketing technique.

Agreed, people don't clink out of interest for your site, but interest for more money.

Exactly. The only positive I could see is getting alot of traffic quickly, like if you were trying to cheat ad sites like Fastclick.

Lightbulb paid surveys and paid emails

I don't beleive in paid emails at any rate. But I do think paid surveys are worth a go.
However, I don't think it's worth paying for any suryeys companies database since what they give is no more than what is offered free at sites like

Trust me, paid to read emails just don't work. I once had a site that promoted about ten of these things and although I was getting quite a bit of referrals, the sites just don't pay when they say they will.
