Do You Ever Feel Like Giving up?
If you feel like giving up right now.
If you think life is tough . . .
If you think you have it hard . . .
Please watch this video, you will not regret it . . .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jeOguqNIAo
Tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched this video. It is such an inspiration to remind us that WE have the power to choose within ourselves "to get back up".
Search Google for Nick Vujicic. Incredible speaker, incredible man . . .

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I would be surprised if there is anyone that works on their own from home all day every day and has periods of struggling where they don't at least once consider giving up.

Cricket, there are some thing in this life that cannot be changed no matter how much you want them to change for the better. At this point of my life, I can say sometimes giving up is just the easiest thing to do and the most practical, then move on so you can save your energy on something more important than waste your time fighting for something that you can never win.
Well, I might be taking the concept of the video on another perspective but I say in certain situations, it is also important to give up.

The direction you take make change, that is not the same as giving up.

Letting something slip in your hands without doing anything, because you really can't do anything... is it giving up?

I think this can be in a different scenario...
Letting someone slip in your hands without doing anything can be in different instances... Sickness, Death or maybe because they're not really meant to be on your side.. There are many possibilities.
Best word that fits this thing is not "giving up" but rather "letting go"...

Agreed . . . I guess I try to live my life by the serenity prayer...

to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

I'd like to state my case for you guys to see my point but it would be too unprofessional to unveil what's going on for it involves confidential information... Yeah, I guess you are right... I think I'll just be optimistic and look at "giving up" as "letting go" and hope for the best with the help of prayer.

He's a very strong guy even though he doesn't have feet and arms to stand up. I really admire those kind of people who give inspiration to others.

Sometimes I want to give up. Especially the times when a lot of things are going beyond out of my control. With all the pain, hardships, sadness and misfortune life can throw at us, life is life and it goes on. We will get tired as everyone else does. Problems and challenges will always come. We can have all the choices to stop, but we should always remember that taking a good rest is a whole lot different from giving up.
Anyways, thanks for sharing a very inspirational video Cricket.

Oohhh... Jenie is having a really tough time. It's okay Jenie, whatever your decision is, your friends are always with you to support you no matter what. We just have to accept hurtful things and just look at it as an opportunity. Who knows... it might be a blessing in disguise.

Oh yeah! But I keep coming back, I just keep coming back!
Life is full of ups and downs. What matters is getting back up when it knocks you onto your arse. There is no point in just sitting there. Get right back up and keep living that life until there is no more to live. What else can we do?

Just always take your down experience and try to make them the best as we all know it could be worse. But yes we must never give up when we feel like we are at the bottom. I tend to procrastinate when I'm down but I figure I could get up much faster if I just stop and think about the situation and actually take action on my plan to get back on my feet. Defiantly going to take this as advise and keep my head up.

Well, the guy was born without arms and legs. I think it would be a different story if he was born with everything but lost them due to disease, war/farm injury, accident, etc. Then it would take a lot to remain optimistic and positive.
If a child never tastes chocolate, they never know what they are missing, right?
I've always had a positive mindset, but I do have my days, just as everyone does. I actually once was so low I thought about ending my life, just thought about it mind you, but I knew I could never do that because I have to stick around to see what the heck else is gonna happen!

The man in the video, despite of his disabilities have the courage to touch every man's heart. He's an inspiration that reminds me not to give up and I should be thankful to what I am and what I have right now.
I also sometimes feel like giving up due to problems, disappointments, frustrations, failures and more complicated issues. But I think that moaning and complaining will do no good to make things better. Instead of bringing myself down, I just keep myself calm and start to carry on things on the usual way and find ways to be better. Life might be full of adversities, but it's not a reason to give up.
Hmm, there are other people like him whom really inspires me and appreciate the goodness of life. One are those blind people I see who play their guitar on the sidewalks of the cold and hot streets. Man, they're great!
