The biggest boat in the world "Oasis of the Seas"

The new Oasis of the Seas, a ship that eclipses the U.S. Navy's Nimitz-class supercarriers, will be the world's largest cruise liner when it makes its much-anticipated maiden voyage in December.

Under construction in Finland since 2006, the Oasis of the Seas is longer, taller, wider, heavier and more expensive than any other passenger ship ever built. It's five times the size of the Titanic and more than half again as large as the mammoth Queen Mary 2 — and it cost about $1.4 billion.

On its 18 decks, a crew of 2,165 will tend to as many as 6,296 paying customers, nearly 45 percent more than the largest cruise ships now operating, the Freedom-class vessels launched by Royal Caribbean three years ago.

I'd like to take a cruise one day. I found a site the other day advertising a "Twilight cruise". You get to spend 2 weeks with other fans and a couple of the films actors.

So much cruises to do around the world. If I had the money I guess I will go around the world for many years ;-)

I've heard of an old woman who actually lives on a cruise liner all year round and goes where it goes, all over the world! What a life!

Imagine working on a cruise liner, living on the cruise liner, raising a family on the cruise liner...they are so huge and have such incredible amenities that it's possible.

My little brother was an electrician and worked on $400,000 yachts. He thought that was pretty neat (and so did I) but they were nothing like this monster!

But 6,200 passengers plus crew. Makes me wonder if they have enough lifeboats and jackets onboard, and a ship like this could become a prime target for terrorism, too.

If that is unleashed, it will definetely be the largest moving man made element. i will love to see how it will look like.

Looks pretty insane i love how it has a park with real plants and such. Too bad im afraid of sharks i hate the ocean and boats =)

Funny thing is living on a cruise ship is much cheaper than assisted living in America. And for many people (depends on how beat up you are) the cruise line offers all the assistance you need. Sure beats a nursing home I'd say.
