Men and women do everything differently Cricket. I'm surprised that we can actually live on the same planet.
But I may just be a wounded old bloke.

I actually asked a bloke today who had mentioned that he had been married for 60 years - "That's a huge effort - what's the secret?"
The reply was simple "Look straight ahead and don't say anything".
That's how their love survived.
He also said that to get married they had to go to court because she was only 19 and 21 was the legal age. Her parents didn't approve because he has a strange name.
I said "What, Bernie?", he said "no, Garbellini". It took her parents 35 years to say "We made a mistake".
Do I get a chocolate for a "Ain't love grand story"?

Definitely deserving of a chocolate.
I agree that Steve Harvey's views on these things are too simplistic ... the idea that all women want is to "catch" and "keep" a man is not just unpleasant, it's not true. Most people are looking for a real connection, a real mate, not just "The Ring" (as Mr. Harvey seems to believe, in the case of women.) To reduce it all to role-playing diminishes everyone, men and women.
I feel so strongly about this stuff that I wrote a book in response to Mr. Harvey's, called Act Like a Gentleman, Think Like a Woman.

I have to agree with Maria. Especially with the excerpt in her book response to Mr. harvey that talks about what the "ideal" man supposedly is and how incorrect the common view is. "Rich, tall, muscular, spends a lot of time at the gym. Makes a lot of money and drives a flash car. Smart too, no doubt, "successful." He probably has other James-Bondish features as well; knows a lot about wine, dresses well, speaks two or three languages, well-traveled."
I know it's hard to believe, but I fit all of that when I was younger, except I didn't know much about wine, and speak four languages But I've found that having those features is like a magnet for materialistic women who you can't form a meaningful connection with. And if you try and date a woman who isn't as popular or good looking, they will have trust issues when all the "hotter" women approach you. It was a "damned if I do, damned if I don't" type situation.

Steve Harvey is such an ego-centric guy, he only pinpointing that women only looking for someone (a guy) to have when they are old. I agree to maria that "just seek out their own happiness!". Although men and women shows love differently in a "showy" and "intimately" way but with the same feelings.
