Not saying you are wrong, I just need to be clear.

What do you get when you multiply six by nine?

I know there is a trick in here somewhere so I am not gonna fall for it. Instead I am gonna tell everyone that when ya multiply six by nine, it sums up you (everyone) stopping by this site and leaving a few words of encouragement for Rachel.
We have more than 100,000 members in this community.
It saddens me deeply that only a handful have been willing to invest the 2 minutes it takes to bring a smile to someone's face by leaving a few words to let them know they are not alone....

I think there may be a future spot for a certain Cricket in my site. With your approval of course.
Would that be alright?

No sweat, least I could do.
If you're in touch, you can tell Rachel that I could create a spot in my website for her. All she'd have to do would be to think of some original quotes and send to me. Together with a picture or two, or more if she likes.
Anywhere between 5 & 50 quotes would be just fine
Sounds like a fun project

Both Rob and Doc (supermods) are playing a big part in making this happen. I will have one of them give you a shout! Check out my recent blog post and there is a quote from her there that made me laugh and cry all at once.

These three looks like a great start:

One day, when you are all grown up, and you are a mom of your own, this may make more sense to you. I wish I could find words to tell you how much you mean to me. I never knew until I held you for the first time what true love was. You are the reason why I breathe everyday. I could not imagine my life without you in it

I find it completely unfair that in one day I have to clean the hair off of my pillow that is falling out of my head, and pluck my over grown eye brows. Shouldn’t one benefit of taking chemo be that I just have no hair maintenance at all? Sheesh
|
Actually I could create a profile with only these 3 quotes, but a few more would be even better.
Another way would be if someone could send me her blog then I could dig out the quotes myself, but then I'd be in charge of the selection

No trick.
In Base 13, 6 time 9 = 42.

I do not recall that particular page having been present on 27 JUL when I stopped by.

Bear in mind that many feel uncomfortable saying what they see as being trite, that the search for the right words here is no less difficult than is seeking just the right greeting card. This I know, as I am one such.

Some are better stutterers than others; some just choke up.
In any event, now knowing of that particular page, I'll try to come up with something better than trivial mutterings.

None of my kids have ever let me anywhere near their splinters. I am guessing this has something to do with my casual approach to injuries.
Many years ago after watching my son fall through the ceiling and breaking his arm (he was playing in the attic after being warned not to) my first comment was something along the lines of, "oooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmgggggg, look what you did to my ceiling!!"
My most common comment after an injury is, "dang, that's gonna leave a mark" or "quit fussing, it's just a little blood. It's not like it is gushing or sumfin".
Oh, oh, oh! And my personal favorite, "Don't get that blood on my carpet, dang it!".

LOL! You sound like me, Cricket (well, not really... I've heard your voice).
My oldest girl was riding in a 4th of July parade, when some young snot tossed a bundle of firecrackers under her stallion. We'd only had him for a couple of weeks, and I was leery of letting her use him in a crowd, but...
He reared up, almost going over backward, and came down doing about 40 miles per hour. He went between a telephone pole and the diagonal guy-wire, at a full gallop, and she managed to avoid the wire, but her knee didn't.
I told her if the phone company billed us for resetting the guy-wire, it was coming out of her pocket!
Then, just to prove I'm not a hard-nose, I took her to the hospital.
