The next big thing will be 3D internet browsing where you don't need any LCD or screen. Just put on a glass, and do your thing.

If they can make it 3D without the glasses, it will be amazing!

I think it's not just one more thing, it's just the beginning , as soon they are going to launch 4d televisions, with even more effects

It all still smells gimmicky to me. Along with HD video recording on DSLRs, motion controllers for game consoles (not Kinect), etc etc... They all have their own niche and work on a level but ultimately, you're always going back to regular TV, recording on an HDcam, using a hand-held game controller...

That's every-life. That's normality.

None of those *other* options add value or experience. They don't raise the bar or are game-changers in any sense of the word.

If you're buying into a 3d TV, you're really just paying a premium for every 3d movie you watch afterwards. (until a standard 3d format is adopted and 3d broadcasting is in full swing ((then you better cross your finger that your TV is compatible)) Doing the math, if you only ever watched 10 3d movies that we're actually produced in a proper 3d fashion, (and wasn't just post-produced with a 3d effect) and you paid $1000 over the price of a regular TV and each DVD cost you $10, factoring in the cost of the 3d TV, each DVD cost you $100 to watch and enjoy the 3d. Lame. And even then, you have to be seated properly and the optimum height and angle and at most, three people can watch it at any given time with the person in the middle getting the best experience.

I can't wait to get my hands on a 3d tv, but I fear it will be a while yet.
So for now I will stick with my blue and red glasses

I am extremely happy about it.
A 3D television (3D-TV) is a television set that employs techniques of 3D presentation, such as stereoscopic capture, multi-view capture.
I might just upgrade my plasma with 3D-TV.

I still have a heavy HD 36" tv because I don't see a reason to replace it yet. By the time this tv brakes the 3D are going to be a deal...but the regular plasmas 2D a real bargain...Is there 3D monitors for computers?...I actually spend more time in the computer than watching tv anyways..
