What to do with all this junk... "SEO Providers"

Every day we get sent "offers" from so called web designers and seo providers. We are a web design and marketing agency, and it seems everyone who fancies themselves as an expert will email us telling us how they can improve our business.

Over the last few months I have been saving these emails in a folder which is now swelling with every day.

So the question is, what should I do with all these email addresses?

I thought about sending them all an email selling them my services as an email writer. I mean ALL of these emails are SO poorly worded. If I sold them a better worded email, at $20 a go, I could make thousands of dollars a month.

What about if I gathered all the emails together in one large database and sold the database at $200 a pop. With over a thousand email addresses of "SEO service providers", again I could make a few thousand a month.

So, any ideas? Bonus points awarded the more creative the idea!

Start a"best webdesign and SEO directory", with a top ten list. List your services as number 1, pick the other 9 from the e-mails, then categorize the remainder as good, fair and poor. Charge a fee for access to the directory. Or as you pointed out sell the e-mail list.

Blacklist there email addresses using a website, and possibly spam them back?

I get about 10-15 of these a week from Indian based SEO companies. They are all worded the sample - obviously some sort of a cookie-cutter template. I reply back and ask for a free test run on one of my more "crappy" domains. None of them have bothered to respond as of yet...

You could play their game, send them emails every day feigning interest in their services from as many free email addresses as you can dig up,and then never respond when they try to follow up.

If you're lucky maybe they'll get so excited that they borrow themselves out of business trying to prepare for this massive surge of "new business" coming their way.

I also get a lot of similar emails and comments in my blogs.
They are just junk.
A professional SEO will never advertise that way!
Just delete them and ignore future emails.

If it has SEO in the subject send it to the blackhole and you don't have to waste your time deleting it. There are a couple of other really nasty things you can do but I don't want to be accused of inciting anyone.

Send them a email telling them you work for the FTC and reporting them right now.

That sounds like a good way to get yourself in some hot water for impersonating a Federal employee.

Tell them that you could rewrite or probably write a new, more decent, attractive, unique and keyword-rich spam e-mail. And on top of that, add a special offer that you will also send those newly created e-mails to Google, Yahoo! and Bing for FREE! I guess they will bite on that. LOL

Put a cash amount on every minute you have and prioritize your actions accordingly.
I doubt anyone in their right mind doing such would spend much time on spammers.

If you can't setup an efficient automatic spam solution, change email account.
