Opera and SevenSeek

SevenSeek isn't loading in Opera, but it loads fine in FF and IE.

Atom noticed this when the sevenseek banner on this forum wouldn't load. I am having the same problem when I view it in Opera.

Any ideas why this would happen?

I dont use Opera, but the banner still isn't loading for me... Nor is the site. I use Maxthon which runs on IE

It's not loading in anything for me anymore. It did, but now it stopped.

Guess I'd better take care of that..

From here it looks as if the site is down. I get an error page and that's the first time this happened to me, it always opened.

Yup, it's down. That's what I meant I had to "take care of" in my post above yours.

I guess it worked in my other browsers because it was in my cache. Don't know why it was like that for Atom, though because he always uses Opera.

I can see now why you called it SevenSeek.

Now it is SevenSought, the text is gone too now.

I was just reading a bit through the Opera Knowledge Base, and see that if you don't have enough virtual memory available, Opera can stop loading gif's and jpg's. They said that the fix is to close and re-open Opera, and to have sufficient v-mem to begin with so that this doesn't happen.

OT: I wonder where Gorillaboy's been. Traveling the world again maybe.

I saw Frances today but she didn't post I don't believe. Probably thought, oh Lord, not this bunch of wankers again!

BTW, just for general info ..

for those who would like to try Opera but don't because of the ads that are present w/the free version,

.. people can get the free version of Opera and choose Google ads as their choice of advertisement, but have them blocked if they install a Kerio firewall. I found this out when I changed my FW from Zone Alarm to Kerio. I am not sure if I had Zone Alarm set to block ads or not, though, so it may very well block them also and I just didn't have it set to do so, I don't know. Anyways ... I don't see the ads unless I choose to.
