Best Movies
Okay, so I don't watch TV at all. I like movies. Especially Kurosawa Akira movies, but I also like modern movies. Anyway, I am kind of at the point where it's like I've seen them all, and I'm hoping we can get a list here of some good movies.

I am not much of a fan for movies, even though I make them.
I guess im too into the details, and every scene instead of how scary the scene is, I point out if it is a wide shot, etc. and think of it more from like a director or editor of the film.. however, I really enjoyed the King Kong movie that just came out
my favorite movies are probably all comedies with #1 being Super Troopers and a close #2 of Night of the Roxbury

JS - well, I am in 2nd year video class at my high school, my best friend got a full scholarship to Savannah College of Art & Design for the stuff we made last year, so I am not big into it (like I probably wont continue doing it), but atleast involved heavily (hell, its an Easy A and I dont have to be sitting down taking notes like all my other classes)
Yeah you definitely should JS, meow

You have GOT to see "Knight's Tale"... awesome! I also got a kick out of "Dogma".
"Papillon" is my all time favorite. Henri Cherriere (the real man that the movie is based on) is probably full of it, but it's a great movie. Something about that movie really speaks to me.
I like the classics - especially film noir. Some of the old gangster movies and cop movies are great, too.
Check out TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and AMC (American Movie Channel).
If you have never seen "12 Angry Men" or "To Kill a Mockingbird", you are really missing something, John. Not to mention "Casablanca" and "The Maltese Falcon".
Back then, before special effects, they had writers that had to make a story happen - not computer-generated eye-candy. You never see dialogue like that in modern movies.

I loved Twelve Angry men. Got it on DVD.
Love Papillon, too. Trying not to watch it too much so I don't get tired of it.
Casablanca is one of my all-time-favorites.
The Maltese Falcon sounds like its worth checking out

Hmm... Maltese Falcon is good, but all the other ones are better.
I just like Bogey... Key Largo was ok, too. Lauren Bacall and Bogey were married when they made that one.
Oh, and any flick with Edward G Robinson is worth a look.
