The guidelines have been put into place so as to make this a better community as everybody helps each other. By coming here and telling people to check whatever it is out, this serves no benefit to the comminity.
At the end of the day, it depends what you are after bizness2.
If you just want to come here and do things your way by not following the guidelines, then as I'm sure you know, this serves no purpose and you won't last long.
If you genuinely want a review for your site (which could be feasible), then you must follow the guidelines laid out in this forum.
Oh yes, be honest as well because you will be found out.
At the end of the day it is your choice.

I will agree with that. I am unfamiliar with marketing boards, and more in tune with car forums, where you post anything and everything. Sometimes being honest does not get you the right kind of attention, being smashmyviper.com is my site, by me posting about it, people will critizie it and not give me the information I am looking for. By posing as someone who is interested in advertising with them, people may take a closer look into the website and give a more researched opinion without comments like "Quit it with the free advertising, Your site is dumb it will never work".
My intensions were not to spam or get free attention to the website, so you have to look at that. Im looking for information from a point of view other then me saying straight up I am the owner of the site, hence the reason for posing as another company.
With that said, you should understand that I am not just trying to spam, and just looking for what other people think about it and not having to answer questions directly about the website but more debate it.

If I can make a suugestion here - I'll keep it polite, honest
Firstly, go to the Website Reviews section and read the guidelines:
http://www.v7n.com/forums/showthread.php?t=633
If you can review a few sites, you will definately find that people will want to help you also.
You seem intelligent and I think could definately be an assett here.
My advice, read the guidelines in the relevant sections and all will be sweet.
I can see that you are unfamiliar with these kinds of forum, trust me
If you need any help/advice before posting etc, just pm any of the mods and we will help.
Your call

An IT bod - Thats where all the confusion came from
Dude, I spent 12 years in IT working for IBM (UK) and contracted out to corporates dealing with software issues on servers/workstations etc and I'm as mixed up as they come.

Bizness2, you're forgetting one thing.
In business, credibility is everything. You lost that.

Agreed. What he also seems to forget, is that many of us also frequent the DP forums. He has had his go there as well. I don't buy his claim that he is not spamming.
Spamming is what he is doing - and has been doing over at DP.
To get away with spamming forums, you have to balance what you are doing. You have to give something - to get something in return.
He has not given anything as far as I am concerned. Therefore he should not get anything eighter.

I don't know. Seems to me, in this nexus built by our virtual modernity, we either sit in our pods and move, dumbly, like particles asea in brownian movement; or we stand the chance to build a new paradigm of community, with the shared thoughts of a billion minds, enriching us all.
I hope for the latter. The one thing absent is the direct communication, the nuanced transmission of meaning. Trust, in that case, is the only thing we've got, over time.
I hate being played, even when the player is a fatuous poser. Bizness2, from my perspective, I've got better things to do.

well done John i wouldnt trust some one that has been placed as a lier sorry, also i havent even looked at the website as its not intrested me cos of all the red reps
I thaink he will have alot of work to get the trust of other members and good green rep back
rules on useing forums when displaying your websites:
1. be kind
2. help others
3. tell the trueth
4. dont be slie
5. dont swere
6. dont spam
7. make people intrested in you and notice you (like spell bad like me)
if you do all this then you will get respect and what goes around comes around
Like there are lots of members on this site i would do stuff for free if there was anything i did they were intrested
so earn it dont burn it

I'd say that's being too lenient. Would you ever trust this guy to do business with? He's made a very bad first impression, that's all I will say.

Was I asking anyone to do business with me?
I have setup a site which generates up to 17,000 unique visitors a day in its first month, and gets advertisers 1000's of clicks to their website and brand recongition.
This all took me a few days to setup. That and all i did was post it in a few forums, and word of mouth took it where it is now.
Trash talk it all you want, its creative, and creativity is a very valuable asset.
I am doing this for fun, and its turned into a small little business making me some money. Like I said before, you miss 100% of the shots you dont take. Have an open mind and go through with things. I'm not crying to anybody if my site doenst work. I have 2 vipers in my garage and im getting paid to destory one of them, have fun, and have hot girls over to model on them all day long, on top of that im 23.
Not an easy one to Top huh?

Well I would like to say I like your website sorry but I do, I don’t know what has happened here so I can’t say anything about it but I would like to say one BIG thing
Do you not know what a good car is, I mean what a waste I was nearly sick looking at the video on that viper, just don’t do it I should give you another red rep for this come on my god.
Ok tell me this would you get say a F1 car and smash it up or spread food on it I wouldn’t so don’t do it to that do it to some clapped out motor that would be funny
Tell you what I have something creative for you to do, get the viper and place it in a container then stick that container on a ship and import it to me then I will show you how to treat a car like that. And I will even buy a pixel for you to do this

Lol.. well you have to understand that by it being a viper, thats is why the site is being successful so far.
Noone would care if it was a toyota or a civic or something. The fact its a Viper, which is a super car (and most peoples dream car), the website is generating the buzz and attention that it is.
Also so many people hate the fact that It is a nice car im doing this too, that im getting alot of negative attention.
And what most people fail to realize here is that negative attention is also good attention. I want people to love and hate the site. I want people to talk about it and spread it around, and thats exactly whats its doing.
If you think thats not good marketing skills, and this wasn't thought out pretty well from the beginning, then somethin is wrong

It is good skills but and thats a BIG but when you say love and hate you want a hell of alot more love than hate trust me
and sorry like i said i dont know what is going on but you have made alot of hate from this forums and the way it sounds from other webmaster forums as well
Now on a key note "webmasters" are what your site is aimed at really so buy making more hate in the webmaster world that isnt going to do much for biz in the making cash side, as i for one with not noing what is going on but by looking at this forum it has made me thing NO NO NO in buying stuff from the site and that cant be good as people will pass that around as well
sorry to say this mate and dont take it the wrong way, but i would start forgeting the bad and move on try making things good, as yes you do have a good site that will make people say look at what there doing etc etc but bad news spreads faster than good news if you get what i mean
