Who's going to Pubcon Boston?
Springtime in New England is especially nice, if you don't mind a bit of mud.

Hey guys,
I found this old thread and thought I'd bump it back up. I'm actually heading off to Pubcon Boston early next week.
Anyone else from V7N going to be there? If so, let's make plans to meet up!

MUD???
NO mud here ... Maybe a blast of SNOW here and there, but have not seen ANY mud up this way in a LONG while. But that is why I live in the Newport, RI area.
But then again ... I try not to romp around in the fields where it MIGHT be mud!

Note: I have already put my snow shovel away which probably means we're goona get "slammed" with a "late" snow storm.
Hey ... It HAS happened!

Ahhh well - with so many people attending, I thought for sure I'd find some folks around here that were going as well. Maybe the Vegas event in November, then??

Hey, I'm thinking about going to the one in November. I've heard some of the connections you can make at those events can be pretty powerful ;-)

Not to mention Vegas is a blast!
I went to Vegas for the ABestWeb Affiliate Conference a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. So I'm looking forward to going back (this time for PubCon - that is, if I can handle "round two" after this Boston trip! LOL).

... and here's the "unofficial group": http://londonseo.org/
Now you cant say nobody told you
Get in touch with Andre of AndreChaperon.com - he's a friend & partner, so you can tell him I sent you over. He'll get you hooked up with this London group if you're interested, I bet!

I dunno about anyone else...but to me it sounds like a bunch of people running around kissing eachother's rear ends and tooting their own horns.

Wow, that's the first negative impression I've heard. That doesnt mean they arent out there... but this was my first time attending PubCon. I had a great time, met a lot of really cool folks, and made some good contacts as well.
I would be curious as to what gave you the negative impressions, if you dont mind saying. Or you're welcome to PM me if you'd rather.

Lynn, I am glad you enjoyed it. But those conferences tend to be best for networking, and not actually learning stuff.
Also, be careful who you become buddies with. Sometimes "friends with X" means "not friends with Y".
The SEO industry is rife with politics, alliances and anti-alliances.
