I got it my answer many of people like diwali festival and who is not like and celebrate this festival they should celebrat....its not waste of money and time..its big reason of happeness...

Diwali is celebrated in honor of Goddess Lakshmi. In Mauritius, we celebrate Diwali with honor great devotion. We cook sweets like kanawla, gateau patate, tekwa, gulap jamoun and many other delicacies. At 6 pm we illuminate the house with candles and diyas. We pray, offer flowers, sweet and agarbathi. We also invite family and friends to add more joy to Diwali celebrations. Diwali is a great festival to Mauritians!!

Till my school days i thoroughly celebrated it but somehow the charm of Diwali has been lost. Now it feels like a product which comes with a bumper sale in market. Either you buy something or have a dull event. I think earlier people used to celebrate it together and happiness. In fact, in small towns and villages where traditions are still valued it is pretty much the same but in metros it feels more of a Chinese festival than Indians'.

For those who don't know what Diwali is -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diwali

It's an Indian festival full of colors, joy, crackers and it is the biggest festival of India. Diwali is my most favorite because it is the time when India seems more beautiful and full of joy. The best time to hang out with friends and family and enjoy the festival.

Its sad that I won't be able to celebrate it with my family this time but I am gonna miss it so much, not being at home and missing diwali is very upsetting.
