Lock your doors?
Do you lock your doors when you pull up along side a homeless person?
I don't know why, but I always do it, whether they are any gender or race.
My professor asked my class and about 99% of the people did the same. She also pointed out how she didn't do this back in the 70's...

No, I lock my car doors immediately after I hop in my car. No matter who is around me, whether they are rich or homeless, black or white. Everyone has the potential to be a whack job.

Luckily around these parts the biggest security fear is raccoons or 'possums finding their way under the house, or the neighbor's black angus breaking through the fence and messing with the garden.
Our vehicles lock automatically when they are put in drive.

Well, for those who's cars/trucks/suvs lock, do you reach for the lock button?
Another question would be, do you roll up your windows if you pull beside a person?
Would you do the same if they were in a suit?

In my hometown I dont lock the doors as most of our homeless people dont really bother the general public.

I keep my windows rolled up in certain neighborhoods, but don't roll them up for specific individuals. But mostly my windows are up anyways, unless its super nice out and I feel like having some fresh air.

We're surrounded by three large schools within a half mile, two of them visible through the trees in our backyard. It's a good idea to keep the house lockified

I lock my room in my apartment. Not because of I'm afraid of my roommate stealing my stuff, but because of the security of my belongings since the staff have keys to all apartments. I have a lot of expensive stuff here that I can't afford to lose.
I changed the locks
I am lock freak

Now that would be a sight to see.
I only locked the house doors when leaving or going to bed as I feel safe enough.

My house is never locked. Then again, I live on a very nice, quiet street. And if anyone really wanted to get in, they could just bust out a window.
