Do you like your job?

Things are starting to look up for college grads!

Yahoo Finance: Big hiring is back at U.S. colleges

I'm going to be graduating soon, and I need to figure out where to apply!

Where do you work?
Do you like you job?
Where's a great place to work?

Cheers!

Why don't you try to make something yourself, not getting a job right after college? This way you would enjoy it the most, I bet on this! If things screw up, you will be still young to start a career.

c5c1lia: It's great that you like your job! I was born in Canada but moved to the US after my Dad decided he couldn't get ahead in the great white north because it was too "socialistic". I've thought of going back though. Do you find Canada to be that way?

dowjoetod: I'm trying to make something myself right now! I'm trying to get my website off the ground. Encountering some setbacks because I think I wanted instant results, but I have to realize these things take time.

I hated my last job. I worked at a an extremely large bank as an auditor. It wasn't the most pleasant of times (recently quit)

I love my job, except the two first hours of each weekday morning after I've waken up.

I've loved my jobs over the past some years, but I don't think that would help you in your question.

I've worked as a teacher (loved it, but had to leave because of other issues), in natural health (loved it x 10, but moved across the country). I work on my farm now (doubt you'd be heading that way) ... love it but it doesn't pay much most of the time. And freelancing, also love it, but I don't have enough work.

I've run a few businesses too ... I enjoyed those as well, and made quite a bit of money at times. You take the full risk when you do that though, and in most situations you won't make money at first -- it takes time to build up. If you chose the wrong business (for any number of reasons) you can lose it almost overnight. Wal-Mart seems to have had a target on my back twice. I'm sure it wasn't ACTUALLY personal though, LOL. Just try to find something recession-proof, that you'll be unique enough that no one will come in and cut you out, but something popular enough and needed enough that you keep a decent customer base. That's the trick.

If it's quick money you want, a job is probably a lot more stable and suitable than opening a business. There's a ceiling there, but with the right training and the right company, it can be quite high. Good luck to you, whatever you decide.

Normally everyone will complain about his profession and its difficulty. But the fact is that everyone likes his job because of his basic need. If someone is not liking his job, then why he stickes with it.

I hate my job. I work at a crappy call centre that is literally the most boring thing in the world. That's why I'm trying to get into affiliate marketing and freelance web development.

I must like my job because i've been there since i was 19 years old. I'll be 32 this month.

I'm in the IT industry but love blogging which i do on the side. Sometimes i do hate my job but that's because i might be working on #$@#y equipment and then the next day in love with my job.

I'd rather work full-time online but the right gig hasn't landed on my door step or let's say inbox.

Yes I do really love my job but I want to try more. I want to explore another field like teaching and managing business.
