I heard something about this, but can't find much detail. Anybody got a link?
And, was restitution ever made to the Japanese Americans who were put internment camps during WW2?

It's not a political forum, it's not a pet forum, it's not a kkk forum, it's a webmaster forum...

OHHHHHHHHHHH - well it looks to me that it's called the "off-topic forum." And I didn't realize only webmasters could play. Well let me give you my resume' then. I started web design nearly 13 years ago and have worked in the Internet Industry for all that time, focusing primarily on marketing. I've sold and designed 1000's of websites and have managed thousands of clients in that time.
I've worked in the print industry for the last three years and now am a web marketing manager for a local company about to revamp all their sites.
Is that good enough to play?

Were you even born when I started designing, Nick?

Why don't you put that to use and go post elsewhere then...
This is the Lobby, but it's pretty pointless to only post here with all your "experience"...

Haha...does that make you feel better about yourself that you are older than me?
So you've sold 1000's of websites, congrats.
And Yes, I was well past being born.

I've always considered that age thing to be a cheap shot. I mean, when you're debating an issue, and somebody comes back with "I'm older than you", the only thing that tells me is that the person is running low on ammo and he's got nothing else. I hate to state the obvious, but if that age has made you wiser, than share the wisdom, not the age.

In most cases, age is equivalent to wisdom. It is, however, impossible to share wisdom with some who are unwilling to receive. Nick was debating fairly well for a bit, then jumped ship somewhere along the line.
I thought this was a thread for opinions not related to the web?

When you say things like that, I really got to doubt your wisdom. In fact I kind of wonder if you really are as old as you say you are, because that's the kind of thing a kid says.
If I had to categorize the people I know by wisdom, not a lot of 40 year old or 50 year olds that I know would be on the "wise" side of things.
I know 19 year olds with more insight than many 50 year olds. Poeple can get dumber with age. The mind stops being receptive to information, and all they care about is making it money.

It is for opinions and respectful debates, not belittling someone because of their age.
Have you seen any of my work? I've only been at this for a year, but I am far from a beginner in just 1 years time. Being wise has nothing to do with age really, it's how a person reacts and takes in information to use it in the future to benefit others. You cannot judge someone on their age, it's such a terrible rebuttal.

You should check out the politics forum.

Things get heated in there, though.

Nick - you kept whining that this was a "web design" forum...uh...even tho it's "off topic" and you didn't start whinin till you couldn't keep up with the debate...so I let you know that I have MANY years in as a web developer so you would stop whining about it. I qualify for the game.
