you have no idea what it must be like to know an opportunity is unavailable to you because of the color of your skin.

You must not be American. Many of the best Gov't jobs are not available to White Heterosexual Males. In fact, many White Hetero Males lost their jobs for being White Hetero Males.

When Clinton was in office, my step father was in charge of the National Weather Service's office in Central Washington. Clinton sent out a memo demanding that more Gays be hired, and to make it happen the office chiefs had to choose several White Heterosexual Males to let go to make room for the gays, Blacks and Women.

I have been told point blank, "No", when applying for constuction jobs in my youth, because I was White and Male. The contractors get tax credits and preferantial treatment if they hire a lot of minorities.

I am American. I am white. I am aware and honest about what I see around me. The bottom line is no matter what your granddaddy told you, there is still a LOT more opportunities for you, the white man, than there are for any other race color or creed. Period.

I was going to stay out of this one, but I've got to know what you're basing that on. The government MANDATES high level positions for minorities, MANDATES government job positions, MANDATES fair housing, MANDATES preferential treatment on the single basis of dark skin. Where is the injustice you refer to?

Is it because you feel white business owners don't do enough? The government MANDATES special business financing for minorities and allows special tax credits for selling businesses to minorities. Exactly how much special treatment is required before you think it's fair?

And, no, I don't think that I have more opportunities than my Black counter parts. It's BS is you ask me. My money goes to the business person that earns my business, whether he's pink, white, blue, black or purple with a cherry on his head.
