I sure hope so. Im programming a multiplayer game and its just right for 1 version of the game if it doesn't crash then it lags my computer for 10 minutes and i need to run up to 4-5 of the game to test the multiplayer.

I think most of my PC's got 2GB, but they can still get slowed down by some applications.

I lived with 256 MB Ram in my laptop for quite awhile. Just don't know what you're missing until you've had better. Got 1gb ram brand new from bestbuy and performance was incredible; never had my laptop boot up so quickly. I eventually returned the RAM as I saw the same bit for sale elsewhere. Bought some it off of ebay for about $40 less, but I can't decide if performance is still as great. Its ok, but not wonderful...

Mine has 2GB as well but it depends if its in 1 stick or 4 512mb modules. Mine has 1 2gb stick so its pretty good.

I'm scarilly starting to look at 4Gb in my desktop but thats as I'm starting to run a number of VMWare sessions. That really likes to eat RAM for breakfast

I refuse to buy anything lower than 1GB.
I'm looking to get 4GB on my college lappy. Depends how much of a discount AI said they can get me on a Mac
