England squeaked thro finally..

Crouch wasnt that impressive..No clinical finishing.

When will england get someone like Gary Linekar.. He would have scored with half chances..

This world cup is seeing a paucity of finishers. The likes of Klinsmann, Romario, Van Basten.. Rooney is not there yet and his fitness would be suspect even though england seemed better with him hustling as ever.
The match with paraguay or germany will show england in true light.

I am betting on Argentina to cross the line this world cup..It will be messi's world cup..

Argentina played great. 6 nil. That must have been one of World Cup's records, eh?
Very very convincing. No doubt, they are one of the favourites...

GO ENGLAND!!

It was a very good score line but they were playing Serbia and Montenegro, not Brasil, England, Italy, Holland, Spain etc

They did very well nevertheless.

For me, Argentina and Spain are the ones to look out for, I found what I've seen from others so far very dissapointing, and that includes the Netherlands, they won from Ivory Coast but played like dung and if they carry on like that they'll get a serious beating soon enough.

I'm contemplating calling out of work for it, but I think it'll be over before I go in.

They look more cohesive than the rest. By the way latin american teams have never won in europe in recent times. Even Maradona feels that way.

Right now only Brazil can stop Argentina. England is not that great. Italy have been a bit of a bore..Holland seems a more credible threat. Of course the Germans have always shone on the big match days.

Anyways the world cup has warmed up to a nicety
