Sometimes people can't wait - they liquadate assets that they bought and grew in value, and they end up taking a good sized profit, and they pay taxes on that and then they pay sales tax on the purchases they make with the money that is left over. A lot of people end up paying more than 50%.

There is no natural, absolute obligation to pay taxes. The governent has no natural right to collect taxes, so by default everybody has a right to not pay taxes.
And the person I am talking about went to prison for a mistake. Not even their own mistake.

Really? That's illogical? So when you and nine other people go have coffee at Starbucks, it's logical to think that people should not pay for thier own coffee, but instead split the bill according to their income?
