oh well I nominate myself in everything.. its obvious that I > all of you combined.. just rack up awards.. these should come w/ paypal.

sidenote to jazzee: but then again, what would I do with all the money
sidenote to everyone except jazzee: thee is no sexual innuendo there, just a conversation I had with her in PM about having money and not knowing what to do with it.

That would be unfair wouldn't it? I have created a thread in the lobby, just put the nominations in there.

How about if staff are excluded from being nominated? So it's members only?

Revised Info

IMR Monthly Awards
Last update: January 2004

Purpose: The purpose of these awards is to reward the users who constantly help our community grow. So many of the users help day in and day out with graphics, coding, SEO, or all of them in one. We feel the need for awards is correct so those users can be put on the spotlight for one month, letting the other users know that the user is important to the forum.

Awards: We currently have 5 types of awards given each month:

Newbie Award: Every month we have new members join the forum. Sometimes these new members join the action right away. They instantly become valuable members to our community. This award goes to the newest member of the community who has helped out the most in the given month.
Member of the Month: A number of users help out in all sections of the community. Whether it be graphics, coding, SEO, general help, or keeping the chatting in the discussion forum alive and well. This award goes to the user who has helped out the most in all areas in a given month.
Artist of the Month: We have a number of members who are great at graphics. They also help the other members when they have graphic questions or needs. This award goes to the users who post their work and help other members with their graphic work the most in a given month.
Coder of the Month: Coding is important when it comes to being a webmaster. We have members who help users with their coding needs day in and day out. These members also release their own scripts which can be of great benefit to the community. This award goes to the member who helps people out with their own code, and releases scripts for everyone.
SEO of the Month: Search engine optomization is a skill which can be hard to learn. We have members of the community who take their time and answer questions about SEO asked by our members. This award is for the members who answer questions about SEO day in and day out.

Nominations: Admins and Mods will vote for the nominees, and once the nominees are selected, a topic will be started asking the members to vote for one person per category. After 7 days, the votes will be tallied, and the winners will be announced.

Prize: Each winner will get a rank for one month, and after one month the rank will be given to the next winner.

i think also that a person can't win it 2 times in a row, he can only get it one time, then he has to wait at least 1 more time before he can get it

Revised the post again, added something to the "Nominations" part.

Gandalf - that's a good idea, lets see what everyone else has to say on that matter.

You don't happen to have 'Swede of the month'.

Thanks pretty cool!
How about "Best Struggling Film maker of the Month" ? nah just kidding!

But I like where this thing is going, it'll definitely lift moral and in general I think will be a lot fun to see the results every month.

Just as a side note, maybe a Random of the Month award for those who don't qualify for the current categories. Give a little boost to those of us without any chance of winning and it would be funny!

i agree with nobody winning the same award for more then one month at a time, although i think you should be aloud to win multiple awards, so to sum it up, you should be able to win a max of 2 awards per every 3 months in the same topic (ya can't win the SAME award 2 months in a row), thats just my 2 cents
