I'm thinking there were probably other factors involved as well. Honestly John, I have never seen that happen to a single soul and don't even believe it's possible that mariuana can cause abrupt unconsciousness in a person. If it can, then I'm thinking that it must be triggering an underlying cause. I haven't ever heard of it though.

Honestly folks, something is really rotten in Denmark with the continuation of mariuana prohibition in this country.

Entirely different discussion, Atom. Beer isn't prohibited, but drinking beer and driving is still illegal, for good reason.

Well can you link a result in particular? What I saw was just some humorous stuff.

There is a HUGE difference in people who are not used to smoke weed and those who are used to it. My own 80% no-claim insurance proves this.
All my live I have been driving a lot, both for my busyness and private and I always drive powerful cars AND I drive in Europe which can't even be compared with countries like the US where the speed limit is so slow that you tempt to fall asleep (yes, I drove in the states). I have been in numerous nearly-accidents because of fools on the road and my reactions have always saved my butt. I know for sure that there are many people who smoke weed and can drive just as save and even more save than some who don't use anything at all.

It has been my experience that it is not common at all to abruptly pass out from simply smoking mariuana. I do see that it is possible now, however.

I realize pot is legal there, but is it legal to drive while under the influence?

Because there is no way of testing when a person has been smoking, tests are worthless in Dutch court. Someone can test positive for thc even after 3 weeks of not smoking anything. A person that tests positive for thc could have used 3 weeks before and that does not mean that they are 'under the influence' at all.
We have laws against drunk driving but there is no way the government can make any laws against driving and weed, besides, tests have shown that the reaction difference of people who do drive stoned are not sufficient enough to be an excuse for those laws.
Fear mongering is not enough down here to make laws, there must be a real reason.
