Pathetic losers those detectives, harassing people for smoking a joint. As if there is no crime happening that's more important for them to go after.

In a country where pot is illegal, I'm guessing they considered it to be an "important" crime?

An 'important crime' is when there are victims, when people smoke weed there are no victims whatsoever. The only victims of weed are the people who get arrested for it.

I gotta agree with the cops on that one. Smoking weed and driving is horribly irresponsible. How many people have to die from DUI drivers before it stops?

Tests, both in the UK and the Netherlands have proven that people who smoke weed are safer drivers than those that don't, they tend to drive more secure and less fast than those who did not use weed. What about that?

Myself I passed my bike, car and truck licence while 'on weed' and passed the tests gloriously, and my country is known for its difficult driving exams, I also have a 80% no claim bonus on my driving insurance for driving without any accidents for the past 30 years.

Rediculous. People stoned out of their mind are better drivers? I doubt it.

You may doubt all you like bro, it's been researched and the evidence is there. You can not compare someone who is 'stoned' with someone who is drunk. the effects on a person are completely different.

Common sense, Ferre. If people can't walk straight or put an intelligent sentence together, you really think their reaction times are gong to be improved?

People who smoke weed DO walk straight, weed does not have any effect on ones capability of orientation whatsoever, it can give you the munchies, that's all.

And about "or put an intelligent sentence together" that's utter nonsense, when people can't put an intelligent sentence together that's because of their intellect and weed will not have any positive or negative effect on that.

I think you are confused with drunk people.

I have to agree with John *gasp* on this one. I would much rather be on the road with potheads than drunks, but it still affects your reaction time no doubt.

It effects someone's reaction time 0.04%, when knowing that two different sober people will have differences in reaction times that exceeds this 0.04%, what are we talking about?

Mariuana Prohibition was a crime against US citizens and remains so today.

This is an herbal medicine that helps millions of people daily, and there is nothing else like it. It is a unique medicine, and has significant theraputic value as well as physical. This is not the type of medicine that makes you drowsy and unsafe to operate machinery or drive a car, either.

There comes a time when the why is more important than the is.

Why isn't it being regularly prescribed by our doctors to patients that they know will benefit from it?

Answer: Because it's use has been prohibited by the US government.

Question: Why?
