I think it can be great if you are looking for traffic for ad clicks.
Also, it can be a great way to get a user base if your niche has a group on myspace (and there are groups for almost everything)

I used to carry a gun but it's because I was always hunting/fishing. I used to pack a 25 auto in my wader pouch over my chest when fly fishing the Vermont strech of the Battenkill.

Not sure about globally, but CNN says MySpace is #1 in the US as of July 12th. But I totally agree with everything said here. There's a lot of creepy people lurking around myspace. I started a page there a while back because a bunch of people that I work with asked me to. I know most of the people on my friends list. If that wasn't the case I'd have never gone back after the first couple of days. I haven't been hanging out there as much these days, but my blog gets a couple extra hits a day because of the links on myspace, but I'm new to this and my traffic isn't at all impressive.

didn't realize alexa was US only. (alexa rank = 5)
yahoo and google get more traffic then myspace anyday.

I get an avarage of 650 hits/month from profile.myspace, all hotlinks to images on my site.
Those get automatically replaced with an ad which has my website url on it.

atom... you could make one freaky myspace. put some of your darker art on there as your photos and then make up some clever crap for all the answers to the many questions/stats... could be interesting.
