I just saw a case on Judge Maria Lopez where she decided that the plaintiff would only get half the thousand dollars that the defendant received for creating a site (weight loss products) and getting it to the top on Google. Her reasoning was that the defendant did deliver on the Google half of the deal but not the website half, because the site lacked graphics, logo, header etc., although, the defendant did tell the plaintiff prior that he didn't do graphics.

However, it was mentioned that the only way it is top on Google is if the keywords were typed into the searchbar without spaces, in which case it would be the exact name of the site and of course be on top, but that this is not how most would type it in. In light of this, I don't understand how the judge could side with the defendant on this. Contracts were not even mentioned so I assume there were none. The judge did give the plaintiff hell for not getting proper advice from trusted people before choosing someone that she didn't know to create this for her.

I'm thinking you're right, that's an astonishing verdict really. That ranking would happen pretty much automatically so the job was duff on both counts.

The judge (Maria Lopez) acted like she knew the score, but this could be a case where she doesn't really understand SEO, despite her acting like she did, i.e. she was the one that mentioned the obvious deception. I just can't believe that she could really fathom that deception yet say that the guy (defendant) delivered on that half of the bargain.

Not a bad idea, the V7N forums rank nicely for a whole bunch of phrases that crop up in the forum titles, thread titles and posts. eg no. 6 for
SEO forum
on google.com

V7N is very SEO friendly.
