The Einstein's and Tesla's was it genetic or hard work what's your opinion

I been recently thinking about society as a whole; how much technological progress we have made over the last few hundred years; there was a time not long ago were our main mode of transportation were carriages. This leads me to think about the men who helped us get to where we are today; the Tesla's, Einstein's, job's and my question to you is: do you think that the primary contributor to they're success were natural intelligence/genetics or hard work and perseverance? I personally think it was hard work, perseverance and creativity. I notice that overall we are quick to slap the genius tag on people and that underestimates the hard work, perseverance and creativity that it takes to achieve great things.

Thomas Edison said it best in his famous quote, which may answer your question -
Quote:
Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration

Guess you didn't have that 1% inspiration...

I have thought this many of times.. The advancement of technology is pretty outstanding.. I think about binary coding, Wireless technology, Space exploration.. SPACE... What we understand now is beyond the far reaches.. We see the static of the very creation.

What Einstein has done to change the world... well is... Wow,,, I can't complete that statement... What If Einstein did not exist?.. forget about the rest. What if Einstein did not exist?

Tesla was hardworking and intelligent, he put his ideas to the test, and perfected his ideas. Edison was smart, creative and had a lot of support for his work.

Einstein.... I don't know what it was.. There was something special going on there.. VERY Special.

IMO -

Einstein and Tesla were geniuses who also worked very hard.

Edison was smart, but I'm not sure I would label him a genius. He worked hard though, I'll give him that.

Albert Einstein was an anomaly within society as he didn't actually start to talk until he was about 4 years old and people around him thought he was going to be a child with possible learning difficulties.

Heck, if Einstein has learning difficulties then i'm in real trouble!

Where most people say "What the heck is that?"
Einstein said "What the heck caused that?"

Us "Look how big that is!"
Him "Why is it that big?"

Us "What is going to happen after this?"
Him "This is everything that happened, is happening, and is going to happen!"

He was certainly a different guy eh?

I did some research and found this short youtube video that explains why Einstein was so much more different than us. As most of you know when he died his brain was preserved and studied; the conclusion was that this corpus callosum (The area in the middle of the brain that helps both the left and right hemisphere communicate) was a lot thicker than most brains. Here is the video

cool videos on the Tesla coils. I wish more of his ideas were taught about in school.

I was especially interested in the video on Einsteins brain. Studies were done on his brain that shown that it was in fact different then our own brains. The question still arises whether it was naturally this way, or did life events evolve and grow his brain to these specs.

While developing certain skills such as ambidexterity and multitasking could eventually build on certain areas of the brain, was Einsteins brain designed in a way that gave him an advantage over others.

Personally after much practice writing with both hands, I do reasonably well with either hand. Since this, I have been noticed randomly performing things with whatever hand made it most convenient. I believe less thought is required to put be put into these actions which allow opportunity for other thoughts.

At the same time, apparently, I should now have more connectivity between the left and right hemisphere. This should allow me to take on other perspectives maybe? Perform tasks better? Make better decisions? Make Faster decisions?

I guess it is hard to say, but one thing is sure to know. One more skills is one more thing you can do. duh!

it was GENIUS, plain and simple, and also dedication. Hard work means nothing if you're dumb.
