Considering she is tired of exercising, the only way is to reduce the amount of calories. She should also think about taking stairs instead of elevators or escalators.

Here, I want to share my opinion about "Weight Loss",

(1) Consume more protein, fiber and water

(2) Get a good night's sleep

(3) Start a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) program

I agree with all of those you've listed but his girlfriend doesn't want to exercise.

The reason most people are tired of exercising is because they are not seeing results, if they were they would love it.

First thing I would suggest is going to the doctors to get a thyroid test, this will eliminate any excuse of a lazy thyroid.

Then look at the diet (not a diet plan but what she consumes within a day).

For 3 days, get her to make a list of EVERYTHING she eats, including the calorie content..... Very easy to do as almost everything lists this.

After the 3 days, work out how many calories per day she is eating and you now have your starting point. Once you have this, things will begin to make sense and become clearer as to what she needs to do.

Food should be the primary focus for loosing weight.

Exercising helps but it is mostly powerless if you don`t calibrate your food intake.

If you limit your diet to normal levels and with mostly high quality food you`ll be fine.
Add 20 minutes of moderate exercise per day and you`re set.

Find something that you can do daily with pleasure. If you hate it you`ll soon stop doing it.

Doing sport regularly, for example bicycling, running even walking everyday some miles is good and is the best, but first the person must be willing to stay healthy and lose weight, it is a long and challenging process!!

Indeed, it is an excuse. I used to be chubby. Fat. Whatever you want to call it. Not a fan of exercise, either. I found that if you cut out sugars, it is extremely easy to lose weight without much exercise.

Chicken breast and salsa and genmai rice - eat it all day and still lose weight.

Serious, my friend. If you really want to help her with this, don't!

Tell her you love her exactly how she is and that you will support her no matter what she chooses to do.

Let her handle this.

When she says "does my butt look big in this", the best thing you can do is to be tactfully truthful and say, "Honey, have you considered buying that dress in Spandex? It has a lot more give and is more forgiving.

Word Of Caution - Make sure that she is not holding, or standing next to any sharp implements at the time of offering said advice!

Eat healthy from morning till night, workout hard, cardio is important, get active and stop being lazy.

Do 1 hour of cardio on an empty stomach. Rest for 1 hour afterwards and don't eat food. Just drink water. Your body will burn stored fat after doing cardio. Do this twice weekly.

You can try being veterinarian and most importantly exercising. If she doesn't want to exercise then there's really no other (natural) way.

A few people saying eat less, maybe it should be 'Eat Right' you still still eat the same amount of food in the day. Just be sure its reduced fat, a good start is to look at what you are eating now and see if you can reduce the fat content and portion sizes.

Don't eat too much ..:p And do consistent exercise for 2-3 months and see the result.
