I understand JIm, i know mostly Americans prefer to travel by the flight for the long distance but here in India mostly people have't travel in flight not even a single time as its too expensive for them therefore train seems to be a good alternative and its fun to travel by the train as you can see lot of different things through journey which we don't see in our daily life. I personally like to see small village homes and farms.

I've never been on a train before, though I've always wanted to travel in one. I consider it very rusty and relaxing.

I love traveling by train, for me it's a very relaxing way to travel. You can get some dinner and a cocktail or two in the dining/bar car. The observation car is a great place to meet people or just zone out and watch it all roll by.

Wish they at least had a smoking car, but usually you can find a sympathetic conductor who's also in need of a nicotine fix and they'll crack a window on the lower floor and let you have a few puffs if no one is around.

I take the train whenever I can.

I love to travel by train and it is really a nice experience. I love the shake and noise and also love to see the wonderful views. But I prefer for a short distance.

Yeah, travelling in Indian rail is the best fun i ever feel about the journey.
This fun varies in between places and the people living there.
In MUMBAI local, even getting in the adventurous things after that fighting with people for the simple 15 min of journey, its really so funny..!!
i love that too much. one who wanna enjoy that have to travel by MUMBAI LOCAL
