South. I live there. Not only makes a quick name but reminds me where I am.

This is truly amazing, I love all the names in here and how you get them, if it is your real name or not, it sure is a mirror of who we are.

It is the name I have been called since the day I was born.
I was born with the hiccups. The first time my daddy saw me, he was horrified. He told everyone who would listen that I was the ugliest baby he had ever seen and that I sounded just like a cricket. From that day forward, I have always been known as Cricket.

What a gift! He gave you not only a great nickname (crickets bring good luck, I hear) but also something to hold over his head when you grew up. Every child should have something legitimate (and harmless) they can hold against their parents, it saves the necessity of making something up...

Although I adore my mother, I definitely grew up a daddy's girl.
