I really want an amaretto sour.
Going out for dinner with the parents. Perhaps I'll get one. Or two. It's on them.

Long Island Ice Teas are all alcohol. Never in my life had one with coke. In my experience they are feociously strong and easy to drink cause with all those alcohols mixed you end up tasting none of them.
Coke? Really.
PS - amaretto sour - AMAZING drink.

I used to work in a coffee shop. What a headache. Everyone seemed to want their lattes done in a specific way. I can only imagine bartending being 10 times worse. It was fun though, and the tips were great

well, you gotta give it some color other than clear, maybe? Hell, I'm not even sure what all is in one of those.
I prefer tequila or malibu rum.

All my long island ice teas have been clear. Weird. Maybe they changed after I stopped drinking.
And in bars, you tend to get less complicated drink orders, as opposed to a coffee shop. Never heard my bartneder friends complain about people as much as my coffee shop friends. Sure you'll get someone REALLY anal and annoying about it, but mostly they just want a specific type of liquor in their drinks.
Has the 'flavored' tini trend ended yet?

I don't think so, at least not here. The Martini bar is pretty popular.
still, I'll stick to tequila.

Ah, a woman after my own heart.
Of course, with or without the lime/salt?\

either way is fine, but it has to be good tequila, not that crap they try to serve.

Odd things I think while reading threads.
Was any bartender crazy enough to invent a drink and call it love on the rocks?
Is the screwdriver a flat head or a philips?
What makes it comfortable?

If you're a bartender, I highly recommend learning some tricks. Like juggling the bottles you mix your drink from. Also putting stuff on fire seems to work. Little things like that increase tips bigtime
(and never stare at the boobs of some bigshot's hot date)

Hmmm, what should a female waitress do if a couple is there and the guy flirts with her?
