Is there really such a thing as a waste of time? What value does time really have when in a thousand years all the seconds, minutes and hours we spent won't be remembered by a single remaining atom?

That might be a bit bleak but the main message is: Who cares what others think? Just enjoy yourself!

Forums are places where you can learn something beyond your knowledge. You can know what others think on a particular topic and you can place your thoughts as well. If you want to learn something then I believe a forum is the place where you will get the learning.

On the contrary someone can say that I can browse the net and learn more things which may be true but the process is slow. The reason being you can only search till year reach and it will be mostly limited to your knowledge only and you may not learn that quickly that you can get it from forums.

Forums are awsome. Its free education

You can get answers from forums that you cant get anywhere else. You don't even have to pay anyone for this information. You can get feedback from a lot of different perspectives and aspects that you've never thought of.

And on some forums, people join them to post a ton of posts in the lobby section putting no real thought into the replies to raise there post count to be able to link drop.

Maybe it depends on the forum community.

We have local forum, some of the members I met them personally.

Forum is not just dropping and getting backlinks..

it must have healthy discussion and respect.

I disagree. There are a lot of useful information in forum threads, you just need to be able to find it among tons of garbage and flood.

Learn and Share on Forums

Disagree. Forum is a good place to make friends with same interest. I don't think it will waste lots of time.

I use forums more than social media.
I found forums are more useful than social media.
Plenty of knowledge and kind people who want to share and contribute.

Off course, only specific forums where the conversation is alive, not
ones that full of scraps, spams, and unmaintained.
