Wasting our time? Let's be serious, most of us are wasting hours daily just doing other stuff on the internet much more useless than browsing this forum. Taking from your post, I guess it depends on what 'forums' you're talking about, as long as you're in the right category - there's always place for new knowledge!

Hey bro as per my opinion no no forum is not waste of time because I have learned many thing from this forum and also whenever i have question I always ask from forum members for other If people spend their precious time on forums just for their sake and mean or for spam then they are wasting their precious time. From forums you get your answer, opinions , suggestions from common people from all over the world. So it is not wastage of time

It depends on wht your goals are for joining the forum. I used to come here to v7n alot several years ago. Now I poke my head in maybe once every three months.

Veterans issue forums are more productive and informative for me.

I won't agree to that. People that come to forum do two basic things, to learn by asking and share solutions to the question.

I've learn alot in forums and have made my little contributions that have helped too.

I've gotten customers and have build new relationships.

1.In every profession, you'll always bump into some problems you don't know the answer. And there's always room to learn more.

2. Clients can find you more easily because you provide them free help on forums and you prove your expertise in a certain field.

3. As someone here said, you can also get some traffic. BUT, only if your answers are really valuable and not just for the sake of dropping a link.

4. Think of a forum as to Social Media.

I disagree. Forums are all about connecting

Although I'm new on V7N, I've learned a great deal on other forums. A lot of queries I had, were resolved by different community mentors and other discussion participants.

That said, it depends on the kind of forums you are on and the type of threads you're following. If you don't really want to waste your time, then you'd be better off networking with the right kind of people.

I've made some friends on forums that I still keep in touch with. It all depends on how you want to use your time

Hope this helps.

Completely depends on how much time you spend on the forums. For me, they are a valuable place to learn and read of others experiences. As with all these things, none of it matters at all if you are not a PRACTITIONER. I like to come on, read / contribute - then leave and get back to work.

Nothing good will directly come of reading forums, if that's all you do. You need to put what you learn into practice in the real word.
