Exercise and music always help you to get away from stress. And a proper meditation too helps in some way.

Usually I listen to music or I got engaged in some coding stuff which just keeps me busy and I forget what stress I had.

I'm stressed out a lot. I just go outside have a few cigs, take a deep breathe and go back inside and try to act normal.

Not really works but I have tried everything to get rid of stress but it's not working. Something gonna happen one of these days.

Exercise is a good way to cope with anxiety. have you ever noticed when you are actively doing something the anxiety decreases. any exercise will help. take walks, swimming, running any type of physical activity is great and works. Hope it will work for you and try meditations. All the Best

In regards to the opening thread, I do exercise about 3 times a week on my elliptical to relieve stress. When I don't exercise regularly I can feel the difference right away. I don't sleep as well and as deeply and I actually feel more tired and more stressed..... when I wake up.

I know it might be a little cliche but underneath the "other" category, having a glass of scotch or wine helps me relax and helps offset the stress. As for me having a glass of Bourbon really hits the spot and "helps" take off the pressure and stress off the daily work grind.

I used to turn to food; but, praise God, I now find stress relief in the Word of God, prayer, exercise, and playing with my dogs (which is even better exercise... LOL...)...

Go for a jog, go to the shooting range at the sheriffs dept. (local cop) or grab the punching bag. If all else fails, I go for a drive. Helps distract you from things by having to pay attention to your surroundings.

Doing sport: Running, Mountain Biking and Snowboarding.
Sometimes video games, but I end up more stressed after I play 2 games than after 10 hours of work

5) other - I look at what's causing the stress and eliminate it. Most often than not, it's a need that isn't being met, like making more money, improving my dating life, etc. Once I take care of that, the stress evaporates - like Houdini, you know?

I generally do a few other things like Shopping, Talking to people or Going out for dinner when i am stressed out.

But, the most effective thing i have seen is going to the gym. I & my gym buddy workout for around 1 to 1.5 hours. And it is a stress buster i tell you. You concentrate more on your body parts & your whole body i.e Sweat, breathing, pain etc
After the gym, i have seen that i am less worried or stressed out about things.

I am going out for tea/coffee with loved ones and spend some time by talking with them. I am getting relaxed well by doing this also I can relieve my stress and I can continue my works with a fresh mind.
