Smile Check out our new ride !!!

Hi all,

Here's some pictures of our new ride !! The first one is the actual vehicle. The next two are from the brochure.

It has a stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, toliet and shower, dinette that turns into a couch for the 2 yr old, couch that folds down into a bed for the 24 yr old, and the cab over 8' wide bed for the 7 yr old, and the walk around queen size bed in the back for me and hubby !!!

Everything inside is like new with only minor use, its used a 1999 but has only 27,000 miles on it.

New Ride

The dinette and couch and area behind the drivers cab

The queen bed in the back

We are excited, trying to figure out how everything works, from the furnace and central air, to the water systems, and fridge, ovens etc.

Hope to have it figured out before the snow and cold comes full force, so we can escape some to warmer weather !!

Linda

We went to a state park about an hr from here the other night, just trying to get used to driving it (well the hubby was), I work on driving it soon.

Its 29' and almost 11000 lbs empty, and 8 1/2' wide, so I'm holding off until we have a few more rides under our belt, then I'll give it a shot, give me room LOL !!

Here's a picture of the park we went to the other evening, parked and had dinner, let the kiddos run around alittle and came home.

Beautiful. I grew up camping and would love one of those! We use to camp in tents and then upgraded to a pop-up camper. That was luxury then.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks suzjor,

We are excited but alittle nervous, we've never ever owned anything like this before. The only time I camped was as a kid in a tent for a week.

But we figured better do it now while the kids are young and we can still chase them, well alittle bit !! LOL

We just want to get away from the hustle and bustle, everyone always seems to be in a big hurry, we just want to relax and enjoy the sites of nature.

Thanks again,
Linda

Thanks Prado,

We were thinking about all the neat memories we will have too ! If we aren't too senile to remember, at least the kids will remember for us.

We've been wanting to do this for ooh some years now. We figure the money we use for the gas we will save on hotels, food, and then we can stop where we want to and stay as long as we want to.

If we like a place we'll stay longer, if we don't we'll just go on down the road. I just want to go to the mountains, lakes, rivers, see wildlife and relax ! Thank goodness this country is so big with lots to see and explore.

We're kind of nervous, there is so much to learn, but the rv's forums are loaded with veterans who've already given us tons of advice and tips too.

kristeejo, I'm sure you will, we figured you can talk about doing it forever, or just jump in and go for it. The time was "finally" right, your time will come too!!

It sounds wonderful. Cricket's idea of a photo blog would be great! Your family can kind of "go" with you!

It's like a covered wagon with style. Congratulations and enjoy your travels. Be sure your itinerary includes plenty of large fiberglass oddities. They'll be easier to distinguish in your photo log down the road.

And Daniel-Z,

Our upcoming travels and what we hope to see, like the grand canyon, and rockies, is exactly, what is in your signature !!

I love that !!! We're hoping the sites take our breath away, and give the kids lasting memories !!!

Linda, I have seen both the grand canyon and the rockies I took a road trip with my grandparents accross canada from ontario to BC and part of the trip was through the states as well

Both will most defintiely take your breath away AND I was 9 when I went on that trip and definitely remember things very clearly

Great memories for SURE!

That is cool !! We want to eventually see western Canada as well. I was in Denver ohhh in the 1970s and I remember the first time I saw the snow on the mountain tops in June and July I just stared and stared !!

I can't wait to go back. Maybe I'll be asking you questions in the coming months about where the best place to cross the border is, and stuff like that.

We know Toronto, Hamilton and that area, but Western Canada to us is the great unknown thats for sure !

Thanks,
Linda
