Yeah same here. An E-class used to cost around 60K GBP. Now the new model is 90K! No comparison! I'm happy sticking to my Honda & its vtec engine.

I'm not sure you got my meaning...it's not the fact that new models cost more it's the fact that certain older models are gaining in value so it's actually an investment.
The Z3 2.2 is a modern classic already, even at only 20 years old.

Yes, I did take 'pristine' to mean brand new car. I'm not a fan of classics, modern or otherwise. They're too high maintenance & unreliable in my experience. If I wanted to invest in something that appreciates, it'd probably be real estate.

Yes, but my wife can't drive a house! Besides a car thats only done 15k that is appreciating in value is better than one thats only done 15k less and is worth 25% less by the time you've driven it off the forecourt! Kerching!!!

Still haven't scored one, working hard to make a purchase. Right now I'm looking at what Honda or Toyota has to offer, an SUV preferably. But a Lexus is what I really want.

I have a NISSAN Qashqai 2013, HL Panorama, 1.6 Petrol, pretty good in brakes, and is stable on road, but, thing is, sitting in it isn't very comfortable

Before buying any car, the first test it has to pass with me is "the comfort" factor. No matter what else I like or want in a car, if it's not comfortable to drive, I would never consider buying it.

I drive a 2013 Ford Escape. I like it but don't love it. I find it very small at times BUT it's great on gas! I'll take the good with the bad for sure.
