What's your current fitness routine & how long have you followed it?

Mine is as follows

Monday : weight training - back & biceps
Tuesday : weight training - chest, shoulders & triceps
Wednesday : weight training - legs
Thursday : cardio - half hour running + half hour cycling
Friday : rest
Saturday : 45 minutes squash
Sunday : rest

Been at it for around 2 years now.

Lol, the eggs are a matter of habit. Don't really have much to do with the routine. There's other stuff for that.

I had a great 2 great strength training programs I was using at one time. One was a 3-days-a-week for 4 weeks and the other was a 3-day-a-week program for 3 weeks. Every week was different. Either reps, weight, combinations - you name it. Technically, the two programs would run for 7 weeks, then repeat. And, with all the variations, and the length of time, you never get tired of it and the body doesn't get used to it. I've been away from it for a while ( ) and am going to get back into it again this summer. A great fitness facility is going to be built near where I am now, but it won't be until next Fall or winter. Sooner than later I hope.

I was pretty much the only one carrying around a little book in the gym because I could never remember from day to day what I was supposed to be doing - how many reps, how heavy - drop sets, super sets etc.

Now, I just have to find where I left the booklet...

You could just go in with your smartphone. These days you have all kinds of apps to track all kinds of stuff. You even get wearables that can figure out what you're doing & how many reps etc! I personally don't use any of it though, my gym disallows use of gadgets on the gym floor. Which is good in a way. You get to focus on the workout rather than the gadgets.

I do Tae Kwon Do several times a week (TAGB, not ITTF, so we get to punch too!).

My Son is one of the highest ranked table tennis players, for under 12's, in the UK and I train him for 6 hrs a week. High intensity short bursts. He trains another 8hrs a week with his proper coach too.

These two things keep me happily fit.

Here is one of my pride and joy, Benjamin age 11 training with his coach https://twitter.com/seonemesis/statu...93999901548548 apologies for the quality.
https://twitter.com/seonemesis/statu...42327407820800 This is why I laugh when people say table tennis isn't intensive, try doing this 6hrs a week!

Thank you. He works so hard he deserves everything he gets. His goal for the year is to get further than the QF's, where he lost 3-2 in 2016, of the National finals.

What's his ultimate goal? To represent UK in the Olympics?

Yes very much so. Commonwealth games would be the first step though.

I'll cheer him on when he gets there. I have family in the UK. I'm sure they will too.

Had been on a body part a day for sometime, but now Iam thinking of switching to Freeletics which includes bodyweight training. Do look at it once!

I stopped going to the gym when they put the price of their pies up.
The bar prices were pretty expensive also.
I now stick to long walks to the pub as a form of exercise.

There are only a few on here that will understand 'our' unique brand of humour Edward.
