I saw a video about a military guy saying how making your bed first thing in the morning helps you feel motivated as you've already accomplished your first task of the day. I start my day with making my bed. Then, the crapper. Then coffee.

Besides making the first morning cappuccino, I log in to this forum to unsubscribe to any threads I have participated in recently. I scan the new posts to see if there's anything threads worth chiming in on (these days there aren't many), then "Mark forums read" and log out.

I then log in to another forum which I help Moderate, help out there for a bit. Check yesterdays stock market activity (none yesterday since it was Sunday). Then comes another cappuccino, followed by reading the local papers. Ok - that's more than an hour, but it's continuous.

Actually since I have sleep apnea that causes me to sleep 9.5 hrs a day, I keep very close track of my iron intake and my vitamin intake to avoid exhaustion from sleep apnea combined with deficiency. My first hour is always tracking supplements and taking them then measuring how I feel to track effects and pin point causes of fatigue.
