If you believe in long range forcasts, at least for us, it's supposed to be a warmer than normal winter with average to less than average precip.

Regardless, Arizona is looking really tempting.

Never been there in the winter. It's a tad bit warm for my tastes in the summer.

I know for sure if the wet trend continues here when it gets cold (snow) this city will shut down.

OMG yes, it's way too hot there in the summer! I know a few V7N members live there, but my god its' 40+ degrees C (Over 100F+??) for July and August. Dry heat or not, that's hot. Hotter than Africa hot. (not that I really know how hot it is in Africa )

Now, apparently (and members can chime in here to correct me if they like), I've been told that March and October are amazing months in AZ - Lots of sun, warm (but not too hot) days, coolish nites with clear fresh air. At least that's what I've been told.

I spent a late summer and early fall in NM and those were some beautiful days with cool nights. Gosh that was 40 years ago.

Now I went and made myself feel old.

Sigh - it doesn't take long for the dreary colder days to make the summer a distant memory. I swear I must have lived on a tropical island in a past life.

Isn't your golf game going to get a bit rusty between now and Jan?

And we both know we would complain about the weather monotony if we lived on a tropical isle.

For sure, but there's a few indoor Golf Dome practice ranges near by. It's about 150 yards to the back wall which is enough distance to tell if it's straight, draw, push, fade, slice or hook. I've done all 6 on the course in one game.

Sure, Pina Coladas, margaritas, no snow, year round walking, biking, becoming the best golf "sand player" in the world - yep.

Well today I have the pleasure of painting a rental bathroom. I just love painting those smallish, confined space rooms.

During the past week I've slowly rehung, finished and texture matched a 3x4 section of the ceiling that was water damaged from a leaky roof. So in addition to all that joy and paying for the new roof I now get to paint.

I guess shorts are the dress of choice for the short ride over on a 57F day as I will paint longer than I ride.

Oh, ya. Especially those tight spots around the toilet walls - you know, in behind the tank and around the bottom bit.

At least I don't have to that. There is tile behind the john.

For me the most annoying thing is the tenant works second shift until 3 AM, so to be considerate I can't start until about 1PM. I get to look forward to it for 2 more hours before I can start. For me a normal work day ends between 2-3 in the afternoon.

Today and touch up second coat tomorrow and I will be done. I just need to suck it up and do it.

I've been delayed closing up outside for the last couple of weeks (inside reno going on) but I think we've got another week or two before (potentially) the snow could begin. Then, it starts inside (Ugh!). The "honey do" list is a very long and arduous one.

I hope I have a bit longer as I still need to install the brick mold on an exterior door I replaced last summer. Yes, last 2017.

All summer I've been waiting for it to be dry enough to use an oil based paint on the door and jamb before installing the trim and we just have not had that dry period.

I have lots of things I've started, but get distracted, or the task gets de-prioritized (and yep, sometimes the weather changes priorities too), but I'll eventually get around to them. One day. Perhaps. Maybe...

Sure won't be doing anything outside today; cold drizzle, worse than rain IMO.

I think I will make chicken and dumplings for dinner. That sounds like a nice fugly day meal.

Will be finishing off what's left of the "Beef and Ale" pie for lunch today. It's really just a beef-pot-pie with some beer in it. I don't know where the "Ale" part fits in, because it sure didn't taste like beer the first time we had it!

Apparently the online recipe requires 1 (12 fluid ounce) can of pale ale, or lager beer.

Then, later in the day when anyone around here says "so, what's for dinner", the answer will be the same as every other day, "that's a good question". And then life goes on.
