I sincerely hope that this year is not going to be as wet as last year. It was virtually impossible to get anything done outside last year.

Based on last night, this morning and right now you have an ugly day headed your way.

That storm you are having (or had), looks like it will be passing to the south of us. I see some storms leaving Texas just now - they might be affecting us Tuesday or sooner depending on how fast moving they are, or they might miss us altogether if the Jetstream decides to move north as the next couple days play out.

well you were right, barely, and I was wrong. The sun broke through the clouds for 5-10 minutes twice late in the afternoon before the gloom returned. This morning it looks like a scene from the Twilight Zone and parts of the state have zero visibility from the fog.

I pick the Derby horse that does the best in the mud.

Apparently, the sun here, is supposed to make an appearance sometime around or just after 8pm. Just in time for sun set.

For us, tomorrow is "the day". Sun, relatively warm-ish and I get to go too the practice range at the club. I might even get in 9 holes on Monday. Fingers crossed.

May you have a hole in one!

I think I will edge the sidewalk. Probably easier for me.

A lot of raking the gardens first, then some golf.

With all the rain, the trees and shrubs are doing fine. it's a little slow in terms of growth because it's not warmed up enough, and the amount of sunny days in the last couple of weeks has been lower than normal.

I anticipate another week - maybe two, then the grass will need it's first cut. the experts say to wait as long as you can before the first cut so that the roots can strengthen after the winter.

Mind you, when it is time for that first cut, really depends on several things. But for now, I've got a week to get some fresh gas and see if the beast will start.

3 done and probably 1 mowing more ahead of you.

When you slice that golf ball remember me.

I sure hope your beast starts right up; working on that stuff is no fun. I really have no right to complain. Mine has been a good one and I used 90/10 from day one. I attribute it to always using Stabil in the gas.

Never got out to golf today. Too much yard work. Started with the intention of getting to the club by early afternoon - but alas, it didn't pan out.

Tomorrow might be a pleasant weather day (at least till mid afternoon) but a contractor is coming in to level some heaved fence panels on a shared fence line in the morning. So, no golf yet.

You will make it to golf before too long. The very early spring can be quite frustrating between chore and weather.

Ya, it's the same every year. The warm part of spring is very slow to get here.

Showers at 4pm today. Fingers crossed the fencing gets resolved before noon.

Meh, just got in some practice range hitting, some short cut chipping as well as some putting today. Was going to play 9 holes (which is an option to us members), but I could see the ridge of the storm from the west, heading my way. it's now cloudy, darker clouds are not far off, so it was a good decision not to play.

Good for you. I hope to make it fishing later this week. It's been way too long.

After a really bad start the market ended not too bad. What will today bring?

Markets are down a bit from the beginning of last week. Who knows what today or tomorrow will bring.

Good luck with the fishing.

Gotta finish my chores first and do my homework.

Down a bit doesn't quite describe it.

Markets took a huge dip after my first check this morning.

Do at least one or two things on the bosses to do list.

For me, yesterday may be the worst market day in quite some time and I own very few things that should be directly impacted by a trade war.

Ah, the honey-do list. I get that too.

it was a bad market day yesterday. All the gains recently (last two weeks) are gone - again.

I know this isn't the political thread, but I got this in my inbox this morning:

Stocks are up and down after yet another trade tweet

Quote:
New York (CNN Business) - US stocks were quickly switching between positive and negative territory Wednesday after Wall Street tried to interpret President Donald Trump's latest tweet about trade.

Wow! This thread has had 37,111 views!

I think we might have to change the title of this thread to "Let's count to 100,000 views". At least that should happen in my lifetime!
