Just seen this on another forum... google being taken to court??

Seems sour grapes to me... how can anyone force google to disclose stuff?

Um ... yeah ... I guess you could ... But KinderStart's claims that the Big G intentionally dropped KS' rankings because of KS' position as a "competitor" is about as funny as Mom-n-Pop Almond Company complaining that Hershey's Chocolate isn't sharing shelf space with them; there's barely any common ground!

The KinderStart (or KinderToday) site is a link-based site running AdSense. It has no original content of its own, so OF COURSE it's not authoritative and it's CERTAINLY not a search engine. Yeesh. Don't they pay any attention?

Pure deep-pocket fishing, if you ask me. And more to come ... I hope KS gets spanked real good for their waste of the court's time.

Haha, I guess all eyes are on google now, if any company want a quick buck they start their anti-trust suit against them.

My best bet is, when microsoft starts selling its vista to the public they gonna get the spotlight once again!

Hi there,

Interesting read...very interesting. Although I recon it is just an attempt at getting some attraction and publicity. Just type "kinderstart" in Google and see what the majority of the results are. So technically it has already worked.

I hope they lose though, it will cost them a lot in court fees. It says Google Inc are protected through certain Amendments so I don't know what Kinder Start are going to get from this.

If Google was wrong, surely they would of settled this out of court rather than go this far....bye bye Kinder Start

And the beauty is that David will need to be another company that actually gives a darn about their product, and not just their bottom line. For instance, Yahoo bought GoTo/Overture to add a reliable search engine to their community-based vision (to increase their potential $$$ return), and they are having a hard time figuring out that having a search engine is a lot different than (Google) being a search engine.

David will need to want to provide quality search results in order to have any chance at all in the Google Coliseum.
