Smile How is the weather where you are ?

Hi everyone,

The weather here is unreal !! Sunny and about 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Its in the 50s and supposed to be in the 30s in the middle of December. And the sun, oh my, we usually don't even see the sun here from the end of Nov until about the end of March.

Just came back from running errands, and the sun was blinding me.

Oh by the way, I'm here in Western New York State, by the Lake Ontario shore in one of the famous snowbelts !!

Linda

Yep, its like that here too. Highly unusual. But I am loving it. It feels like spring.

I live in the Cleveland, OH area.... off another lovely Great Lake - Lake Erie.

We are suppose to be 80 tomorrow! We are normally in 50s at this time. Monday we are suppose to get a system that will bring us back down to our normal weather. I've been thankful for the warmth this week since I have been out doing errands just about every day!!

Light fog and 63. Tomorrow, Partly cloudy and 76. I love Florida weather, it's so much more consistant.

Its actually very mild here for this time of year. I believe we have only had about 4 "cold" days so far. I'm not complaining

But then again, that damned global warming trend...

Yes, the unusually warm weather has its advantages, but it's also a little disturbing. My part of the globe historically has blankets of snow covering it this time of year. This month we've had lots of grass, sunny days, and even rain. When I was a kid the snow fell in September and October and the grass didn't reappear until March or April. Now snow covered ground has become an absolute rarity. Our climate has definitely changed over the past few decades. And, as many climatologists say, the increase in temperature isn't as disturbing as how quickly it's changing. I try to enjoy the warmth, but I just can't kick that little sprig of suspicion that we're heading somewhere icky.

I wonder if the migration of the poles has anything to do with weather changes over the past few years.

Haha. I meant of the magnetic poles of the earth. I'm no scientist, but I would assume that somehow this would affect weather patterns.... and they say that the rate of movement has significantly increased over the past few decades....

You know what else is weird about this winter.... birds that are usually long gone by now are still sticking around. Seems strange. I noticed this the other day.

It's only snowed once here which is incredibly odd. I'm not sure I like it, either. I want my 10 feet of snow and I want it now.

Here in Southern California it's always sunny and warm. However at present there's a strange, viscous substance falling from the sky. It's clear and resembles non-carbonated club soda. I'm not sure what it is but it's getting all over the lawn. I don't see how I'm going to walk in that stuff without getting my clothes wet. Maybe if I had some kind of portable small dome or roof thing on a stick.

Funny you should say that, I saw Ducks the other day and they were going the wrong way, "heading north", SPOOKY NO ?? !!

Its supposed to be in the upper 50s here tomorrow, its really odd, we usually have snow all over by now, not that I'm complaining, I dont miss the snow blowing in my face and going down the back of my neck when I'm cleaning the car and the wind blows it back at me !! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I saw 20 geese two days ago... I dont know if they were heading in the wrong direction or not, but the one in the front looked really freaking worried!

*sigh* I'm afraid the weather here isn't as good as yours because we are having a series of super typhoons here, only this month, we had two supertyphoons leaving so many people homeless... such a sad christmas for some

the magnetic pole does move but not at a rate that you would notice year over year it would be a bit longer than that....
