mm I couldn't agree with that because it works both ways, many people think they are less interesting than they actually are.
It all depends on how much importance you have placed on the site. I run my life on both sites and subsequently have no need for any e-mail (or phone, except for parents, for that matter) whatsoever. I'm also starting in the music industry (working with someone who recorded nirvana

) and if anyone knows anything about the music industry as of the past 5 years, sites like purevolume (another community site) and myspace have been feeding grounds for success.
Forbes recently ran an article on how these community sites are making many people 'rich'. I can only imagine if I kept the site I had for it (yourdesignspace - for those who remember) how much I could sell it for now - the Forbes article said that someone with the same general site that I had sold their's for $200,000 ... that would have been the end to my college debt.
