Sad news for my wife
I had to take her to the hospital the other night because of severe pain in her stomach and back. It turns out she has gallstones. She was admitted to the hospital and is on standby for surgery and could go in at any time. They are giving her a constant supply of drugs to keep the paid away.
I did a little reading on the subject last night when I got home.
I hope they can use the less invasive method.

I'll be scarce for a few days at least...

Sorry to hear that dude. I've heard that they can kind of crush them with sonar, isn't that an option, instead of an operation?

Under Who Shouldn't Have This Type Of Surgery, it says "Your doctor will decide which type of surgery is appropriate for you."
The second type is what I would want, I'd have to let the doctor ultimately decide though I guess, according to the above. I just hope all goes well. They did say complications were rare, but they didn't say how rare. I'm sure the surgeon knows though, and will take that into consideration in the ultimate decision.

There's a saying in AA, Let Go And Let God. Well that's damned hard to do sometimes.

Ugh. My sympathies. That is bad news, but, as was said already, we have ways of dealing with those agonizing calcifications these days. Ben Franklin lived with gall stone pain for over a decade. Back then they couldn't do squat for him. So at least your wife's pain will cease.

Hang in there for now and she'll be back on her feet soon! You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to thank all of you for your kind words. I just got back from the hospital for the night. They said she wont be going to surgery tonight and most likely not tomorrow either. They said Saturday or Sunday.
To add to my stress I was cranky at my 18 year old Son last night when I came home because he did absolutly nothing for housework for the three hours he was home after school and was sitting there at the computer tapping away... tonight I came home and said hi to him and he said nothing. So I looked at him and said hi again... he just looked at me and turned back to the computer. So I told him if he was going to disrespect me to get off the computer. He did... and 5 minutes later he had a little bag packed and off he went.
The worse part of it all is that he never once asked how his Mom was
I cant take anymore from him right now. Its all just too much

Man, thats sad.
Do you know where did he go?
Phone him and try to talk with him, not challenging him but saying your sorry if you were harsh, you are stressed just as he is.
I think you and your son should be together now.
All the best
