Linda, if you get the chance, read my story. It has 4 parts so far.

I was 6 years clean this past Thanksgiving. You know how hard and difficult what you are doing is so I won't bother you with those details. I did think I would give you a few things to look forward to.

Taste. Your sense of taste will come back. Foods will become vibrant and delicious again.

Feeling good. You will wake up feeling good again. It is hard to describe the exact feeling, but if freedom could be described as a physical symptom, I think that would be a good term.

The Craving. Goes away. I dreaded this because I heard people say you would always want a cigarette. Horse****. You will actually come to hate smoking and the smell will make you sick. That brings me to my next good thing.

Smell. You will start to smell things you forgot. Little things, but you will enjoy it.

Energy. Your energy will increase and you will be thrilled to be out enjoying life without your leash.

You have a whole new life ahead of you. I would wish you luck, but only the weak need luck.

Jason

Wow! Thank you for sharing your story Jason. You are a true inspiration for me!

Linda - only you will know when you are ready. The biggest thing I have learned is that you will finally succeed at quitting once you truly BELIEVE that you CAN quit smoking.

Atom would be proud of us for taking this thread so far off topic. We learned well from him!

Yes he would! I could throw in a few quick one liners, or one worders in succession but it wouldn't be the same
