HI I missed you all ! We're baaaaaaaaaaaack !

Hi everyone,

We went on our vacation, and we got back Monday night just before midnight. 14 States in 10 days and almost 3500 miles. Over 250 pictures with the digital camera and I forget how many rolls of film. I'm gonna make a vacation deal with stories and pictures. Probably take me a week or so, I'm not so productive right now, we're exhausted.

And for Cricket, we made it to Mississippi !! Hattiesburg, and camped at Picayune Mississippi. We decided we never went to your fine state so we went that way from Alabama for awhile. Oh and we loved your weather.

Here's the route, and if anyone is interested when its done, I'll post that it's finished.

We went from NY, to Ohio for a night, down to Kentucky for a night, through Tennessee, then Alabama for 3 nights at 2 different campsites, then over to Mississippi for a night and then through part of Louisiana, and back to Florida for 2 nights in two different campsites and then through Georgia, South Carolina, to North Carolina where we camped for one night. Then through Virginia and Washington DC, and Maryland through Pa, and finally back to New York.

Phew we are exhausted, we kind of over did it some, seeing alot and not quite relaxing enough at the campsites, we're still learning.

Glad to be back to visit the boards, be reading but not typing for awhile I think, I want to work on the little trip journal and pictures first. But I'll be spying on you from time to time.

Welcome back! Sounds like you might have been in Louisiana while Mardi Gras was going on. Did you make it to any of the parades or festivities? And I actually went to school at USM in Hattiesburg for a year. Look forward to seeing and hearing about your adventures.

Whew! I'm tired just reading your itinerary. Put together a jaw-dropping multimedia show so we can all bubble with envy (especially those of us in climes with weather not worth bragging about).

It's good to have ya back! Sounds like you stayed just a little over 200 miles from me when you were in Mississippi. I hope you had a great time!

Good golly. Sounds like a marvelous trip. The days when I could cover half the country in a week are long gone, but your itinerary brings back a few memories.

Those days are gone for me too !! Damn near killed me, pushing 50 years old here in the not too distant future. The little ones keep me on my toes anyways.

I'm up to day 3 on the journal pages I'm doing, the hard part is picking pictures, I don't want to bore everyone into a complete coma !
